Choosing the very Best in Nature

Shall we venture into one of my most favorite subjects surrounding natural health and aromatherapy? I can honestly say how healthy and alive I feel at the wonderful young age of 45, due to my passion of setting examples of a healthy lifestyle, so that those I encounter are encouraged to do the same. When it comes to vitamin nutrition, I am an avid student, striving to learn all I can to live a long, healthy and fruitful life.
Incorporating aromatherapy and finding the highest quality of essential oils to maintain physical, emotional and spiritual balance is essential. Those who know me, can attest to my love of the scent and many beneficial uses of my favourite herb, lavender.
Lavender Highland is an evergreen, woody shrub that grows about 3 feet high. It has pale green, narrow leaves and beautiful, violet-blue flowers. The entire plant is highly aromatic. Lavendula vera is also known as Lavendula officinalis and Lavendula angustifolia. All these names indicate a true lavender. The essential oil from a true lavender is prized for its ester content. (Esters provide a relaxing quality with a sweet aroma.) The best Lavender in the world, with the highest ester content, comes from the high-mountain region of Provence, France. This is Oshadhi’s Highland Lavender. No other Lavender compares to its exquisite aroma and unsurpassed therapeutic qualites for skin care, first aid, and stress.
Another favourite is Geranium Rose Organic. There are many species of Geranium and hundreds of varieties. Amongst them, there are a group that are used for their essential oil. The most common are Pelargonium graveolens, asperum, roseum, odorantisimum, and radens. Geranium is a perennial shrub with serrated leaves and small flowers, growing from one to three feet high. The entire plant is aromatic. As a group, the Geraniums have been ever-popular, once believed to be a great healing plant. The essential oil is one of the most versatile and seems to be particularly good for women.

I truly love Valentines Day. It is a great opportunity to get a bit festive, and express our Love for each other. Even though I do this sort of thing often anyway, it is great to have this theme to go by during our chilly month of February.

Hydro Power is ~ Clean ~ Power!

Following upon the heels of my last post, I would say this particular subject is only fitting. I am a strong believer in utilizing the power of Nature, in safe and intelligent ways, always keeping the Balance in mind. With such powerful resources available from the elements of Nature, such as Air, Water, and Solar, it stands to reason we should actively explore our options to live clean and healthy lives. The natural abundance of these truly amazing elements should lead such intelligent beings, as we humans imagine ourselves to be, to greater depths of study of natural sciences. Who needs resources which pollute the planet and destroys our ecosystems, when the Creator has provided us with everything we need, if we just open our eyes?
Our family and friends are dedicated to re-learning how to live in Balance with Nature. As such, we are learning how to grow our own foods, studying herb lore and wilderness survival, as well as how to travel through nature as softly as possible so as not to disturb the Balance. Also, we are keenly interested in how to build our homes with the Power of Nature in mind.
It is so very important to the health of this planet and her inhabitants to find the cleanest sources of power. The ebb and flow of our Ocean tides are efficient, consistent, clean and free. The subject of the Rainforest is dear to my heart. It is well known that these precious forests play an important role in the health of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. These rainforests are the lungs of this planet. Without them, we cannot live and breathe. Not to mention the tragic loss of so many herbs and medicines in this wanton destruction of the plant nation. So, knowing this precious resource is being wasted for no other reason but greed, why do we continue to let this occur? We have the knowledge to create other sources in building materials. We can put a stop to this devestation before it is too late. People need to truly be aware of how serious this has become… it is not a theory, it is a fact. And talking about it won’t solve the problem. People need to be proactive in solving this very serious travesty visited upon this Earth, this gift of a planet the Creator has placed us upon.
