The BLM has continued to violate the 1971 Free Roaming Wild Horse And Burro Protection Act. They do not manage these animals well, from the brutal helicopter chases over rugged terrain to the stockpiling of horses in BLM corrals. I have 5 animals at my sanctuary with permanent damage from BLM abuse and subsequent "adoption" which resulted in abuse and neglect by others. These illegal and cruel roundups must stop, to give time to create a better plan for these magnificent creatures. "Welfare" rancher, taxpayer subsidized, privately owned cattle vastly outnumber wild horses on the public rangeland. The cattle grazing program loses millions of tax dollars yearly. The BLM wastes millions of tax dollars yearly on their mismanagement of the horses.
