I absolutely love Winter. Every Season brings different gifts and teachings to us all. I love to experience each season in it’s turn. The atmoshpere changes, and we change with it. Winter is a time to gather what comfort and warmth we find, family and friends, or enjoy gentle solitude. Although I am a lover of sunshine and fresh air, I find the motion of wind and rain seems to bring it’s own special energy. The movement of the clouds in the sky cause me to take a deep breath and gaze up in wonder. My thoughts get lost for a while in watching nature as she moves.
To me Winter gives a chance to look within myself and place all that I have learned, and am still learning, into proper perspective. So much about this world is not as I percieved it as a child, and many years of my adulthood. My eyes and spirit are open to so much more than I was taught to see when I was growing up.
This Earth is a very beautiful and virbrant planet. The Life she reproduces continuously is simply amazing. We as a people should be intelligent enough to live in harmony with our Life Giver. Can we not see the hidden agenda? Each Season should be welcomed for the teachings they bring. I am always grateful for all that I have been given to help me along my Path.
Yet during this stormy Season, I am given to wonder how many more of these peaceful days watching the storm, whilst dwelling within the warmth and safety of our little home, will we enjoy? Can we really hope to stop those who are knowingly destroying so much which is vital on this planet? We have a very good chance of doing so, if enough people take a stand and refuse to allow things to go on as they are. This planet deserves the respect for the absolutely amazingly wonderful work of pure art that she is. There is so much awesome potential here, and we need to stand up and let those bent on destroying our Life Giver that we just won’t take it anymore.
Hmmm… wintertime contemplation took me along a strange path. I started out talking about the exciting weather, and moved right into saving the planet!! Perhaps it is mere chance to happen along and read my words, yet I do hope those who visit are enjoying whichever Season this finds you. And if you are not enjoying yourself, I do pray that you are safe and find some cheer for hearing the words of a relative, albeit virtual, stranger. May your travels be safe and your teachings gentle.
