I often struggle with the difficult task of teaching my two young buys 3 & 5 why we can't go to the Circus or the Rodeo (which there are plenty nearby). How do you explain to a young impressionable mind why they can't do something when society is showing them that it is so acceptable and normal, yet to us, so horribly cruel. This is a great post.
