A Prayer For The Earth

Oh, spirits of the four directions
and guardians
of what is above
and what is below.
Oh, ancient ones of all persuasions –
the winged,
the two-legged,
the four-legged,
the many-legged –

Hear my prayer.

That harmony and balance may return to the Earth
That the streams can flow clearly again
That right relationship be restored
between all creatures
in all dimensions and locations
That our hearts beat in rhythm with your pulse.

May we entwine our roots
like trees of the forest,
may our trunks flex in the wind
as our branches gently brush against each other.
May translucent lay lines of Divine energy
intertwine us above and below
into a network
which affirms all notions of ancient Truth.
